Do you mean Mataharis copied the card numbers on a piece of paper? They swipe the card and use electronic connection so it must have been a forged signature?? You wouldnt think anyone working for Matahari would be able to make a personal gain from using the card. I have been using my credit cards throughout Bali since 1991 and only once, that first year did anyone overcharge me. They did two vouchers and forged my signature, but the bank refunded the fraudulent transaction.
(although last month I was charged $74.97 for something, which I have a copy of the voucher, and I cant for the life of me recall what I bought! GAPURA ANGKASA WISTI SABHA BUILDING - 536250rp. The date stamp on the voucher reads Mar 20, 05 19:29 and at that time we didnt go anywhere to buy anything - Ho hum, just another one of lifes little mysteries! If I didnt have the voucher I would have suspected a fraudulent transaction, but not so)
