Well, been back one week tommorow, but afraid hubby and i got a terrible cold! i came down with it 2 days before leaving bali, and now hubby caught it, rather nasty too more like the flu (even though had flu vacc.
Was our 25th trip, and thoroughly enjoyable as usual.
Was just a quick visit as we normally go for 28 days or so, but was spur of the moment decision as we both needed a break , having renovations done on the house just got a bit too stressful.
The night before we flew out, afraid we had heavy rain and thunder storm (easter sun) and as we are putting a top storey on, and the tarps had somehow come loose down came the rain in the house ! yes all down the lower house walls we were mopping up all through the night, so no sleep.
After leaving the house in the hands of our builder he kindly drove us to the airport, where on arrival was buckets everywhere where the rain had come through the roof there (was like being at home).
Boarded the 10am Ap flight and was excellent flight and service once again.think the two of us slept most of the journey!
Arrived in Denpasar, no probs with visa us dollars and straight through.
Our friend Jimmy was there to welcome us home and esky with bintangs(oh yes he is well organized)after big hugs off we went to the Inna Kuta Hotel (first time at the Inna)
After a warm friendly greeting we were shown to our bungalow ! very impressed quite a lge room, nice bathroom, and spotlessly clean, not too far from the lovely pool.
First stop was the beach! to see all our lovely pedlar friends Wayan (for massage) Sally for beads, and Hans for drinkies, they always delighted to see us and say "you come back very quickly" as we had been over for a month at xmas.
Next stop Mattaharis for essentials water etc and of course to see what was "Discon"changed money in mattaharis always pretty good, then our always first call at Raja's for a snack.
Back for a swim and met up with friends from perth (yet a few more drinkies) at the swim up bar, then shower and off to see all the boys at the bali bagia restaurant,always good food , caught up with all the news and had reasonably early night.
Had a great nights sleep and up early rearing to go see if anything new since last visit, will cont later as afraid this cough is getting to me.
