For those of you who asked for more info on Champagne in Bali. We found it in Sanur. Went to Hardy's shopping centre. As yout you first walk in on your left before you get to the supermarket there is this little specialty shop. The shop has a very small bottle shop in it and even sells small packets of copper kettle chips too. The supermarket also has a bottle shop inside, but we did not see champagne there and we did look for it. In the specialty shop, we found Mitchemburry Champagne and a more expensive brand, the name of which escapes me now. Can't remember the exact cost of them, but what I do remember is that it was around about the same price as what we would pay here plus the cost of what we had to pay the customs officer, without all the stress!!!!!!!!!!!! Much easier to buy there for a few dollars more. It was definitely under the $20 mark. We are planning on stopping there on our next trip to get some rather than trying to bring it with us.
We also liked Hardy's better than Matahari's for shopping, more variety and a lot of the more basic ozzie products.
