we all have to start somewhere and that includes learning to drive a computer haha. I remember that my first post was asking how much a taxi was and realised later that i should have looked in archives first. You live and learn and basically this forum is for information and not chats(or you will get into trouble with FA) so here we go.
Nice accomodation....Kuta.....I would stay at poppies cottages in poppies lane 1 if you are not after a party place. It is gorgeous.
http://www.poppiesbali.com/
If you want to party then stay at Bounty hotel but it is not deluxe.
Have a massage every day as only about $8 and go to day spas for the works....cheap as chips and there are a few, margis in poppies lane 2 is cheap or if you want upmarket then ask or look in archives (type in Spas.)
Go to Ubud for a day trip or stay overnight...i would stay at tegal sari.Do a cooking lesson up there ( type in cooking lessons in archives) and visit the bird park, the zoo and do white water rafting.
If you play golf then look in archives (and type in golf).
Hotels usually have happy hour that lasts a couple of hours for half price cocktails, so enjoy them then.
There is a new shopping centre in Tuban and is supposed to be better than mataharis which is in Kuta square.
If you want to get used to prices then go to geneva warehouse in seminyak (and type geneva in archives)as is cheap, fixed price and market stuff.
Getting sick is something that you have to class as bad luck but normal sensible behaviour tells you not to drink their water or even brush your teeth in it. Wash hands all the time and even better carry wet ones or aquius gel from chemists here.
Carry a toilet roll in your back pack as there is often none in the public toilets.
I am not sure wether i am allowed to give you any more sites to get info from as FA has clamped down but email me at leonie40@hotmail.com and mention BTF and i will pass on to you.
Relax and go to the library as the others say and enjoy.
Don't pack more than about 4 sets of clothes at the very most as you will buy there and don't forget your bathers and sunscreen as is expensive there.
Cheers
Tuberose.
Tuberose.
