We used this service a couple of times, but they wanted you to book at least two hours in advance, the up side was that not many people use it so the driver will drop you just about anywhere between the hotel and Kuta square.
Taxi's can drop you off. They don't allow them in because they offer a taxi booking service through the tour desk - VERY EXPENSIVE!
