- start early, not dawdle at too many places along the way and be prepared to have a late dinner at your hotel (presumably some where back in the southern tourist ares of Kuta, Sanur etc).
Arrange for a driver to pick you up straight after the earliest breakfast you can have at your hotel. Try to get away by about 8 am so all of the morning traffic will be going in the opposite direction when you head north towards Bedugul/Lake Bratan in the central highlands.
You can have a quick stop at the Baturiti markets on your left just past Pacung. These are very much local markets and will be a bit of a contrast to the more tourist oriented markets at Bedugul where you can refresh and buy nuts, spices, fruit etc.
Just a little further on you can stop at the spectacular temple on the lake and see the Muslim mosque and the Buddhist stupa all within about 2 stones throw.
Up the hill from Lake Bratan you can stop on the roadside to see the local monkeys, buy some bananas from the roadside vendors to feed them and look out across Lakes Buyan and Tamblingan.
Turn left almost at the top of the hill at Yehketipat and drive around the top of these two lakes. Stop at Ngering Ngwedding to see their coffee production from wild berries and sample some real Bali Koppe with a snack.
Go on to Munduk Falls for a quick look and to work off some of your morning tea/lunch. Press on to Seririt on the north coast and stop at the hot springs above Banjartegehe. Yor can have a dip and a shower here before pushing on to Lovina/Singaraja.
The return journey can be straight back up the hills to Bedugul again and visit the bird or reptile or butterfly park on the way home.
Have a great day.
