you may want to put ear plugs in your kid's ears to prevent ear infections as the water is certainly not clorinated. Otherwise it is a nice place for a dip. Some other waterfalls I went to were at Tegenungan (about half an hour south of Ubud), or Gunung Kawi, if you keep on walking along the small river past the 2nd lot of tombs, there are a couple of nice waterholes with waterfalls that you can swim in.
