For years I have used cable ties on all outside pockets and just replaced the main case with a security lock. Last trip I also used cable ties on the lock too. Next trip I am going to have my bags plastic wrapped before I go ($A8 per case). If the customs at Denpasar want to open my bags they will have to provide the knife etc for the cable ties. Australian Customs carry stanley knives etc. Diping the ends of cable ties in nail polish is a good idea.
