on all case openings and I went one step further. I read on here that they would be easy to tamper with - ie it would be easy for someone to cut a black cable tie and replace with another. So I dipped the ends of all my ties in red nail polish to distinguish. But I agree it would be handy to have a lock to use when bag is in your room. I also figure that if customs either end want to open badly enough they will have scissors, penknife etc to do it with. They managed to find a penknife to cut open the seams of my cushions that I brought back last year. Admittedly they were full of the "wool off the trees" and had to or confiscated cause I wasn't going to pay $60 for spraying (so I think they are probably sitting on some customs officer's outdoor furniture right now looking lovely!)
