Hubby just got back from a months surfing trip to Bali,Lombok,Sumbawa,Bali. Depends on where you surf especially the reef breaks. A few years ago one of our friends went surfing no booties and ended up with a sea urchin spines in his foot not very nice. That put a stop to his surfing holiday.
