I have just returned from GVC and their Happy Hour price for small bottles was Rp7500, I don't know if they even have large bottles as I have never seen anybody drinking one there. The Loji supermarket over the road has large for Rp12,000 and small for Rp7,000.
A word of warning about Bintang, they have a new beer called Bintang Zero. It is advertised as having full taste but no alcohol, altho I am not really into this type of beer I bought one to try it. I have honestly never tasted anything so disgusting, I took one mouthful and spat it out, poured the rest of the bottle down the sink and reached for a peppermint to take the taste away. I thought Singha in Thailand was horrible, I thought Bali Hai was horrible but nothing I have tasted comes close to this concoction.
I bought my stock of real Bintang from Alfa which is on the road to Denpasar and paid Rp9,700 for a large bottle and Rp5,450 for small
