The Oberoi Lombok is one of the best 5 stars I've been too.
It's got a very good feel about it, the pool area and grounds looking out to the gilis (islands) is quite idilic. It's a very laid back hotel but with true 5 star service, classy.
It's fairly remote and the clientle are pretty gentiel.and apart from diving at the gilis theres nothin to do but relax (not such a bad thing)
It's definatly worth considering.
It's interesting to compare Bali and Lombok.So different, I can't wait to get back to the richness of Bali after bieng in Lombok.
The drive from Sengiggi to the hotel is one of the most spectacular any where, you round corner after corner with huge views down the coast. I want to go back to Lombok just so I can show my wife that trip, on the back of a motor bike.
