There are no nightclubs in ubud, so none of the modern forms of dance music you seek can be found.
There are a couple of bars that are open a bit late, on Monkey forrest Rd, the jazz club, it think its called, is a pleasent scene.
Many of the best resturants in Bali are in Ubud...you won't have trouble finding something good to eat. Depends on your budget.
Ubud is a good excuse to get away from your standard Kuta night time activities.
Go and see one of the performances at the palace, they'r on every night and if you only see one while you'r in Bali, Ubud is the best place.
