That's great! I have two myself, I had them both done in NZ by Graham Cavanagh in Auckland (on two different hol's). I really didn't find them very painful at all. The one at the base of my neck really didn't hurt at all - it was the first one I got and I was really surprised as I'd steeled myself for some serious pain! The one I have on my lower back is right on my spine so the vibrating sensation was weird but again, it really didn't hurt. During the healing process I found them much less painful than a graze - more like a scratch. I would love to get another one, but with my two only having cost NZ$60 each I don't think I'd get them done in Bali. Just not enough of a saving to justify the risk for me - although I really don't know much about the standards in Bali. I'm sure loads of people get them done there without incident, but I'd stress about the cleanliness, I'm afraid. That's just me, though. I'm sure we'll see you at s&s, so maybe we'll get to see the tatt first hand! cheers, Sue.
