Dyed or genuine?

Do you know if they were genuine semi-precious chips, or if they were dyed shell or howlite etc?

I don't recall seeing them there when I went but that's a good couple of years ago and I wasn't in there long enough to check everything out as I was in a hurry at the time.

Also, do you recall what kind of price? Like I said, the only couple of places I found semi-precious chips (36" strands) they were more expensive than I can buy through mail order at home - ie, wouldn't come below AU$10+ per strand.
