At the big W end of season sale just before we left for Bali there was a rack of pink polyester kids dresses. You could see why so many of them were left at the end of that particular season but at $2 each I couldn't pass up buying a few. By the time we got to Lovina only one was left. One day we sheltered from the rain with some massage ladies and had some mie goreng from the warung. One little girl was feeling hot and unwell "masuk angin?" I asked and mum said yes, masuk angin. To cheer her up I told her I would bring a dress for her tomorrow, but it might be too big and maybe mum could shorten it.
The next day towards lunchtime we headed out of Hotel Aneka through the little gate to the beach, dress in hand. Along the beach she ran, the little girl who was so listless yesterday, ripping of her t shirt and skirt as she ran so that by the time she got to us she was clad only in her knickers. On went the dress, down to her ankles and no way was she taking it off to give to mum for alteration. I don't think she had ever had a new dress before!
Best value I ever had for $2!!!
