voa I am confused!

I was intending to pay VOA in US$, however from what ive read on the forum I can use AUD. We are a family of 5, I just want to get through all the airport stuff as easily and smoothly as possible, does it make any difference at all to the speed and ease of getting through if I use AUD or is USD easier quicker?
