you can book from there and you may gedt it for 30.000 rp.
If you are staying anywhere else you won't get anywhere near that price.
On the plane the Bali blurb tells youy it costs $20US (something like that) per person.
If you have to get a driver form, say Kuta, the cost will be driver for the day 200.000+ (whole van) plus dolphin tour.
If you can you are better staying in Lovina the night as you need to leave at 6.00am to get in the boat. The boats are very small, about 15 inches wide plus outriggers. You sit in a row on boards on top of the boat. There is a small outboard motor. I'd only take 4 young kids if they can swim and are well behaved. While the boats are safe you have to think if your kids would sit for 2 hours. If they start jumping around or standing on the boards they could fall in. Remember also that a lot of Balinese don't swim so if one falls in it's up to you to save them. I've never seen life jackets.
You motor out for about half an hour then wait for the dolphins. The kids would like it but may get bored if there are not many dolphins around.
Personally I would not bother going all the way from Kuta but if you are up there I would.
