It seems that all the schools have a lacking of basic educational materials. Pencils, ballpoint pens, paper, rulers, erasers, etc.
They also need teaching aids like large scale maps of the world. There libraries are extremely limited, so any books are useful, particularly young reading books in English because the kids learn English in their last few years at Elementary School. Also books on your own local flora, fauna and landscape. These have lots of photos with related stories or explanations that the children enjoy learning from.
The other things that never go astray are sporting equipment. Volley balls, soccer balls, tennis balls, skipping ropes. All the things our kids just take for granted.
Hope this helps a little.
Cheers
