Welcome to the BTF. In answer to your question it depends on where exactly you want to walk to. Seminyak goes along way up. We stayed at the Intan Bali Village hotel approx 8 years ago which is Seminyak and it used to take 20 minutes by taxi to Kuta. Walking would probably take at least 1 hour. The south of Seminyak which is just past the Jayakarta Hotel I would think it would about 20/30 minutes.
