Spare me please! I have a grandaughter staying at the moment, she's five and and she doesn't eat this, tells me that "that's yucky", and knows everything, including her "rights", but has no concept of cause and effect or responsibility. She's the centre of her mothers' universe... I would not compromise a holiday by taking them away with us. Social training is difficult enough at home without subjecting other holidaymakers to her tantrums. I go happily with my own two younger children who are old enough to be independant and are good fun, but my tolerance does not stretch very far when dealing with children who are "fussy eaters" or who are too precious about where they can or can't pee, or what is cool to wear... Some of the stuff I read here, like "should I take Vegemite with us because...! Spare me...if they are hungry they will eat, if they eat too much when they are not really hungry they will get fat. Try something other than McSh*t, it may even taste good, and won't compromise your immune system.
You shouldn't have asked.. but I let it all out anyway.. Have a good holiday. Treat HWMBO's back with care....
