When you get out of customs you exit the airport. Ignore all the drivers there waving banners and calling out names, turn right out the airport door and you'll see a sign saying "TAXI" or something similar. You tell them the hotel name and pay Rp30,000 and they give you a receipt and call up the next driver who takes you to his taxi - and away you go.
It's easy. I did this to MBR my last trip over and will be doing the same thing again. Much cheaper and quicker than getting transfers in your package deal.
I was in my room and sitting on the balcony with a cold drink when I noticed other people from my flight checking in at the hotel - so that tells you how much quicker it can be.
