DAY 8 :
Ok...so today we definitely must have a massage.........so many choices where will we go...we rang Prana Spa resort in Seminyak they quoted $70 US for massage, so we decided against this one although it did look like a very special place to go, put this on the list for the next holiday......list is starting to grow already for the next holiday. So we made our booking for the Melasti Spa in the afternoon.
Our laundry was delivered to the hotel and as usual everything was clean, ironed and neatly folded in sealed plastic bags....oooohhhhhh that fresh smell ....I will have to find out what washing powder they use.... laundry cost us 16,000 = $2.25.
Highly recommend this laundry if you are staying in the Legian area they will come and collect and deliver , Putu and Sarah Laundry Service Phone: 759891, they are usually out the front of the Kodak money changer in Melasti Street early if you wish to drop off.
Today Brenda decided to visit ARC Clinic at Denpasar to check out a bit of Restalyne treatment . After a short consultation and inspection of the premises all seemed ok. Brenda decided that it all seemed clean and opted for a treatment that was to last 7 years and was not a toxic substance it was called aqua-med, 10 minutes and 3,600,000 = $500 later out she came, Brenda caught a taxi back to the hotel and I and another lady we met decided to go to the surf factory outlet which proved to be a good little find all genuine articles, rusty, billabong, volcom and many other originals...
T-shirts 85,000 = $12
Rusty Bag 70,000 = $10
Mambo shirts 95,000= $13
Real Fear good quality dress shirts 90000= $12.50
We were feeling rather pleased with our purchases and ventured to another factory outlet called Animale which sells ladies fashion gear.....very good quality and very different designs to what you would find here in Australia well at least in Newcastle.
Being on the larger size this place proved to be ideal.
Linen skirt/jacket 160,000= $22
Mesh cardigan 95,000 = $13
Bead/coin necklace 39,000 = $5
Sunglasses 54,000 = $7.50
I again decided to put this on my to do list on my next visit. Time to return for our afternoon rest and drinks before our massage.
Found another couple of boutiques that cater for us cuddly ladies email me if you require further information dfsm@pacific.net.au
Arrived at Melasti Spa..........on time.no waiting.. I went in for my traditional massage which was bliss, I would say it was one of the best I have had and for the total cost of 90,000 = $12 . Brenda couldn't handle a massage today but instead opted for a facial I suppose we did splurge a bit on this one but as usual it was worth every cent of it. Even with swollen lips they were very careful and gentle at all times. This looked pretty good, so I decided to have a facial as well while Brenda has her hair braided due to humidty frizz which was driving Brenda crazy not being able to use a hairdryer to straighten her hair so after all this time she decides now to have her hair braided, Brenda put this on the list for next time...have hair braided first day.
We discovered the products they used for the facial were all natural products and made out tired and haggard skin glow with life.........
Marta Tigga products for tired skin they also have a range for sensitive skin and normal skin, we purchased the cleanser, scrub, massage cream, mask, moisturiser for the grand total of 120,000 = $16.. another excuse for us to revisit to keep our supplies up........... HEY BRENDA put these on the list............
For us 2 matured aged shoppaholics we called it another day as it was 930pm when we left the Melasti. What are we going to do for dinner..........hummmmmmmm Hotdogs at Circle K.........dessert and ice tea cost us 75000 = $10 for both of us .
Airconditioned - plenty of seats and right next door to our Hotel.
BRENDAAAAAAAAAA get the Mylanta tablets ready...........
On arrival back to the Hotel we received a message that they were upgrading us to a villa for our last night.......well we did land on our feet.......
To be continued to Day 9........ neally finished
