The upstairs rooms are the best, big and clean with large sunny private terraces overlooking the pools, but all the ones i saw had indoor bathrooms - I believe some of the downstairs bathrooms may be outdoor, but the rooms themselves aren't as good, and the few I popped into while they were being cleaned smelt a bit damp and musty with no sun as shaded by upstairs terraces . I really liked it here, great position near the shops and only 5 mins quick walk to the beach , cut through the Griya, Besakih or the path past Bonsai. Lovely grounds, flowering shrubs all over and quite private . No TV but upstairs had big empty fridge . Breakfasts ok, rooftop restaurant in pretty setting up a steep set of stairs , menu nothing special, buffet 2x a week , the rest standard toast eggs bacon juice kopi, lovely staff who love to chat, 2 good pools ( although one with difficult exit unless you are nimble ), poolside massage 60,000 not so great but avail plenty of other places. Excellent little place to eat on the corner , nasi campur 12.000 and delicious, or the hotel restaurant open till about 5pm, nasi goreng was 10,000. I'd certainly stay here again, but only in the upstairs rooms - walk in price last year was a bargain, only $20US :-)
