Most would be made in sweatshops. However buying the 'real' thing doesn't guarantee sweatshop labour was not used.
E.g. Globally 90-95% of all clothes are made in sweatshops.
Gap & Ralph Lauren have sweatshops in Saipan and other poor countries. These clothes have 'made in U.S.A.' labels. Nike & Mattel would probably be classified as the 'real thing' too. The list goes on.
You're on the right track fresh, so if you'd like to be an activist to help improve the conditions for people working in sweatshops, use that search engine and find an organisation you'd like to help.
