There's plenty to see in the surrounding areas so it's well worth the trip up to this area. Kuta Ken and I have done Gunung Kawi and I'd advise wearing good walking shoes and take some water with you as it is quite a treck down and funny, but it seems twice as long on the way up! Well worth it though especially if you are into the history of Bali. We're going back up to the Bedugul area again this year as we'd like to learn a bit more about the healers of Bali.
