just got back.got diddled of $20-00 in a dark money change venue. the rate was 7,495, so they ask you to make up small change and as soon as you take your eyes off it they palm some under the counter.i was changing $100-00 and they put 7 piles of 20,000 rph on the counter(then they pile it uo like 2 decks of cards). if you have to change at dark alley miney changers ask for 50,000 rph's or just change $50-00 at a time. use the banks, the rate is down just a little eg. 7,300 compared to 7,500 at $100-00 is $2.20 difference.
transport:- for $100-00 aud a driver will sit outside your hotel etc. for 3 days. 8-00 --5-00 and you have got him the whole time. pay him 250,000 rph at the end of each day and if you walk out and he is not there, don't pay him. get all arrangements sorted first,of course.
if you go on a 200 klm. trip you will have to pay a bit extra for petrol.
