If just out on a day trip with just a few hundred bucks, I just carry my normal wallet. No big deal except the wallet doesn't close properly.
If travelling between hotels with all of my holiday plus my passport, I will use a money belt for sure. I guess it's the same as anywhere else in the world. I'm willing to risk a couple of hundred bucks, but not my passport and a couple of thousand dollars.
The money belts really are not a hassle at all unless you are having to access it regularly. They really aren't made for regular access as others can attest to. :)
