It happens all over the world. When we went to pay our hotel bill it was the first time we used the card in Bali and found it had been blocked by the Bank because somebody had tried to use the number fraudulently here in Australia after we had left. Thankfully the Bank woke up to what was happening was out of character for us & blocked the card from any future use until we returned home.
We have never had any trouble previously either in Bali or Australia, but you can now expect this to happen anywhere.
