now I dont use my credit card at the hotel at all. I tell them I dont have one. You should let everyone know what hotel it was, saves other people falling victim. Mine happened with the Intan group of hotels both in Lombok and Bali! This trip I am staying in a more reputable hotel and will not hand my card over even if they require a deposit - I will pay that in cash!
