all of this I was there in 1976 for 1st time and have been back now 35 times. I know both the Froggy's and Froggy from Joni's is still around I saw him last year and had a chat, he is still surfing, that I definately know has he and my husband talk for hours about surfing,I had also him in Cronulla many years ago around the same time that Cookie was working at a surfboard factory in Cronulla. The other Froggy who dances all the time acutally comes from The Bukit, he also has been around for a while but not as long as the original FROGGY. I have also stayed at Puspa Sari, Chandra, Nakula, Logi Gardens, Wisma Mastapa -- all very basic, but wow that was really Bali back then. If you could only turn back time. I try to explain to my kids when we are over there how different it was, saying this was all palm trees, cows wondering through the paddocks from Jln. Legian through to the beach. Does anybody remember old Pak he used to walk his cows along the beach, he dressed like a bit of a hippy and crouched over when he walked, after falling out of a coconut tree.
NOw I am getting all goosey thinking about these time. The first time I went in 1976 i went with my sister and she had been heaps before. Acouple of months after we got back she moved to Bali and has been living there ever since. Now I am going on 28th April for my 35 time. Yee ha.
