I believe you, I just thought what I was being told was true. Perhaps too trusting and the story about the reason why they no longer eat dogs seemed believable, perhaps it was just in one village in particular or perhaps I just want to believe that. This guy went onto say only one restaurant in Denpasar serves it now.
Although funnily enough...............we were also told the dogs on the street only bark and growl at you if they sense you have eaten a dog yourself. Last trip out of 8 of us, only my brother visited a remote village with a Balinese friend and he was the only one chased and barked at by a dog the following day! Hehehe, who knows?
