I have stayed here 12 months ago and found it to be friendly, clean and large rooms and very central to everything, either the hotel or cottages are fine. Hotel facilities ie laundry etc was very reasonably priced no need to look outside.
I recently returned and met with a couple who were staying at the white rose they advised the rooms were clean the food was crap though.
Have a good time and wish I was coming with you..........
