I kinda thought the same thing about Bakungsari myself actually. It was the first one I put on the list, mainly cuz it was cheap and I figured I only needed a bed for the last 3 nights and wasn't fussy as long as the basic facilities were there. But I've read a lot of mixed reports - and mostly not so great ones.
So then I kept looking and came up with Green Garden. Only about an extra $10 a night but probably a better location. Having not spent a whole lot of time down that far though I was drawn back up to Kuta and came up with the Bounty.
I'll probably decide and book something in the next week. Don't want to leave it too late cuz the more popular hotels do tend to fill up pretty quickly.
