Sanur is about 25-30 mins drive from Kuta, the main touist part of Bali. Sanur has plenty of shopping and places to eat, but a bit quiter and more laid back that Kuta. Plenty of water based activities at Sanur, jetski, parasailing etc.

As far as I'm aware no additional visa required for Lombok, it's the same country ie Indonesia. Boat from Sanur, plane from Airport near Kuta.

Vaccinations - I'd check the Lonely Planet Guide, but, the recommendation is Hep A, Hep B, Tetanus. These however are for more off the beaten track travel. If you stay in Sanur you should be OK. But ... don't drink the water.

US & Australians need a via. You get this on arrival at a cost of $25 US. Make sure that yo've got the correct change in US currency and you'll get through quicker.

Wet season officially finishes at the end of March ... may still be some rain around but hey, it'd the tropics.

We are going back (3rd time) 24th March to 3rd April. Hope you have a great time.

Karen, Brisbane

We are going to Sanur (april 1 till april 17), can anyone tell me about it?
And is it possible to go 1 day to Lombok by plane or boat? Or do i need another Visa?
Did you also must have vaccinations, or is it only for the people who's comming from Europe? Or take malaria pills?

And are there also people who is traveling from Bangkok flying to Denpasar.
