The two main areas for the club scene are Seminyak and Kuta/Legian - the clubs don't start to warm up till around 11 or 12 but you will be able to wander around to lots of different places to find what you like. You will need to catch a cab to travel from Kuta to Seminyak but there are lots of clubs/bars with music in either place. Also don't be afraid to check out some of the places which aren't right on the main street, I have found some really good places which didn't look all that good from the outside.
