Same happened to me on Air Paradise. Told I had one until I got to the gate and was then told I didnt. When we finally boarded the plane, the seat with the bassinet was not even being used as that. They were all adults. Was first in line to check in and still didnt get it. It was really frustrating. Had one on the way home on AP and had plenty of room. Used them heaps of times on others trips as well. It really varies on the diff planes and airlines. Smaller Qantas plane had no room at all with bassinet (that was a longer flight as well) Id say get there first and really push for baissinet. When you get on the plane still request it if not being used by others.
