"Saya dilarang membeli" literally "I'm forbidden to buy".
When the guys used to look at my teenage daughter I used to say
Dilarang lihat (forbidden to look). They used to laugh at that.
One day my hubby (who talks a lot)was chatting away and I said "he can talk underwater (in my rough Indo). They cracked up. My hubby kept saying "what did you say".
My hubby wanted to learn a few words and asked how you ordered chicken soup. I told him- Soto tikus- mouse soup. That was funny.
It can be fun learning a few phrases. The locals love it and will help you with pronunciation.
