If you're taking a dSLR to Bali, it means you must be serious about your photographs. And if you're serious about your photographs and on day trips in the middle of the day, you are going to be faced with a dilemma. I find it incredibly bright in Bali and the glare and constrast against the shadows is terrible. At home I use a polarizer in bright light and I can only recommend that you take one to Bali. It will make the world of difference!

No glare and it will cut back some of that light.
