Do you mean live bands? Or dj stuff?

If you mean DJ stuff, just think of what's at home and go back six months. (In Bali). In Australia, it should be much the same as what you get at home.

If you mean live bands, expect to see a bunch of proficient cover bands with weird pronunciation in Bali. For original bands, Superman Is dead are a good pop-punk band, and Cokelat are a great rock band. Java has some good raw punk/metal bands, but gigs are rare and hard to come by.

Australia has whatever you want, as far as live music goes. You just have to find the venues or bands you like.

More Japanese than Australians visit Bali, but most tourists don't notice coz they can't tell Asians apart. Lots of Dutch and assorted Europeans. A few Americans too, but they have other resort places to visit closer to home. I think more Americans than Australians visit other parts of Indonesia, though.
