Possibly best place for a discman would be the bigger department/electrical stores; mataharis or the new Discovery Plaza - but some other forumites may offer a better option. As for salad, most people eat the salads without any problems at all. I certainly eat anything I feel like at the restaurants. I would only avoid buffets that have been sitting around in the open for any length of time.
