we bought a $30 target stroller for our 2 yo when we travelled in january. it certainly earned every cent of that!! so many times jasper fell asleep in it while we were out walking and a few times we were even able to tip it back on an angle so he could have a nap in a restaurant. we found it more of a drama in kuta with the dodgy pavements but ubud and sanur no dramas.
other people may have other ideas - i think a full size pram would be a bit of a pain in taxis or on the plane but a jogger would certainly take the bouncing better!
i guess you have to consider, how far is your four year old feasibly able to walk before wanting to be carried. we also found that with a cheap stroller, we could stick it straight into a bemo with space issues or taking him out of it.
we also like to walk everywhere rather than getting taxis all the time so we found it really good from that perspective
just make sure it gets on the plane, as ours was nearly left behind in denpasar, luckily we checked!!
do whatever is going to make your holiday easier.
Enjoy yourself
