I know you get distracted with the bargains and the rest of it but I'm always careful to keep one hand on my bag at all times. I wear an over the shoulder bag and my cash sits in a pocket on my breast plate area on the inside of the strap - confused yet? Thats the idea. Keep cash close to you and zips on the inside. I've heard of people cutting straps before but the thicker the straps, the less chance you have.
