In over 20 years of travelling to Bali, only once have I had the 'real' bali belly, or even the unreal BB. However, my wife regularly suffers TT (travellers trots).
What I had turned out to be dysentery. When it did hit, it came on fairly fast and I suffered bi-endal eruptions and an extreme fever. No way was I going to wait 4 days, and called the doc. A jab in the backside brought an amazing result after a couple of hours as promised, although it took another couple of days to be back to what I considered to be almost normal.
As Mic says, it's no good worrying about it. If you haven't suffered Bali Belly, then you probably haven't been to Bali enough.
