I always manage to pick up some piece of art - wooden elephant still perfect after 15 yrs, fine silver jewellery, pottery and basket weaving from Lombok etc. Last Sept found a painting of 3 fish in purples and tans, at Melasti St markets. Paid $25 Aus for it, then it cost $200 to frame it! Artists come framers who framed it for me said they could have sold it several times over! I've hung it the family room where we spend most of our time. Don't want to hide it in a lounge room.

My home won't win any mod home awards but nearly every decoration has a travel story attached. That way you get to relive the memories all the time, not only when you pull out the photos.
