6 months ago. We where in a standard room. We where also in the older section. Our room was looking a little tired but was clean & comfortable. The beach is a about 3 minutes from the hotel. Just cross the road and walk through the Art Markets. Kuta Square (where Mataharis is) is right on your doorstep. Another choice if you are looking for budget is the Melasti Beach Bungalows, not the Resort down in Legian. We stayed here last week and was pleasantly surprised, considering what it cost. Our room was 115. It was in the newer section and was large, clean & comfortable. This is located in between Kuta square & the new Centro shopping Mall. Has also just opened a new spa with 50% off specials. My opinion worth considering.
