I have stayed at the Mandira many times and I only walked through the Mandira grounds a fortnight ago and my suggestion is to try and book a deluxe room as opposed to a superior room as they are further away from the construction works in the new tower wing up the back.
So closest to the beach would be the best.
Stayed in the Junior Suite once which was pretty special.
