Indonesia's delegation for the Indo-Aussie biannual casual chat session are seeking mutual free VOAs.
Let's hope this goes through and no-one at the meeting stuffs it up by saying something stupid.
Only five delegates are coming, instead of the originally planned nine. Four of them stayed at home because of the debate about the fuel subsidy. I guess they needed the extra numbers for the rumble that erupted in parliament.
Someone should have been punched in Australia when petrol went above one dollar per litre. We export nearly as much oil as we import. And guess which price is higher. How dumb is that? Oh well, we can always steal the oil from one of the poorest nations on Earth, huh?
In other news... there have been increased incidences of schizophrenic-type madness in Indonesia, believed to have been brought on by watching the mystic/ghost shows on TV. Anyone who has watched Indonesian TV will not be surprised that it has driven people mad. I would argue that the same phenomenon has occurred in Australia, but has gone undetected for decades.
Here's Bob with the weather...
Hot! Might get a bit of rain later.
Thanks, Bob.
