I tried once, brought my own over and ended up leaving it there, couldn't be bothered carrying it back and was way over the luggage limit (as usual).
We found none of the vans or cars have any way to secure it.
What you can do is leave your bub in the pram or stroller (if asleep) and most vans have enough room between the sets that you can put the fuully open pram staight in. It gives a bit more of a feeling of security, and it's convienent.
It's VERY rare to find a vehical that has a capsule so just ask the driver to slow down if you feel nervous.
