We stay in Ubud each year during June. We have found that Ubud is cooler, especially during the night. I found it to be very cool one night inparticular last year.
You should be fine with the baby, and dont worry about mossies as they have netting around the beds.
The Hmgh is shaded very well, so you should be able to find a cool place to sit during the day if needed.
